Our Playground Safety and Maintenance Training helps your staff achieve the following objectives:

Program Objectives

• Understand organizations related to playground Federal law, Federal guidelines, and national voluntary standards (CPSC, ASTM, ADAAG and Wisconsin Recreational Immunity)
• Injury overview and hazards: head entrapment, entanglement, falls, and protrusions
• Review Protective Surfacing Materials/ASTM Standards, Use Zones and Fall Heights
• Identify Playground Purchase Guidelines such as age appropriate equipment, Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) Salesperson and types of proper equipment
• Reduce liability exposure with proper inspections, documentation, and thorough playground injury investigations
• Conduct a hands-on Playground Safety Survey (if owned, please bring playground inspection kit)
  

Who Should Attend?
This educational seminar is prepared specifically for building and grounds personnel, custodians, maintenance, parks department employees, and safety coordinators.

Members (WERMC, CIC & WCMIC): No charge
Non-member fee: $25/person (please make checks to CIC)
